Hola, we’re Cinthia and Carlos.
We were college friends in Mexico before we became partners in life and in business. Cinthia is from Mexico; Carlos is from Nicaragua. After moving to Canada in 2011, we brought with us a love for the craft and creativity we grew up around.
In 2020, we launched Harmonica: a family business connecting contemporary design with the skills of Mexican shoemakers. Our aim is simple — to share beautifully made shoes and the people behind them.
A name with a memory.
As a child, Cinthia watched her grandfather make shoes by hand. His workshop held pieces of leather, the tools of his trade, and a harmonica he would play for his grandchildren. That memory gave our brand its name.
Carlos grew up watching his grandfather, a goldsmith, turn careful work into intricate jewellery. For both of us, handmade objects have always carried something personal: the patience, knowledge and care of their maker.

Made by hands that know the craft.
Our collections are designed in Canada and made by artisans in Mexico, including shoemaking communities in Sahuayo and León. Woven leather, careful construction and thoughtful finishing bring each design to life.
From huaraches and mules to espadrilles and sandals, our shoes bring traditional techniques into an everyday wardrobe. Small variations in leather and handwork are part of each pair’s character.
